CONVERSATIONS

This is a conversation my 4 year old and I just had
(it was a little frustrating, but I have to share because it is a Little funny too)

ME: "Can you please pick up your mess"
Xandra: "I don't want to"
ME: "Please pick up your mess, I will give you a surprise" (resorting to bribery)
Xandra: "Can you ASK me what it is"
ME: "What is it?"
Xandra: " NO Can YOU ASK ME what is the surprise"
ME: " What is the Surprise?"
(at this point I have realized she is confusing "ask with tell")
Xandra: (with exasperation) "You need to ASK ME, what the surprise is"
ME: Sweetie I think you are confusing " ASK and TELL"
Xandra: "OK, now will you ASK me"
ME: "Will you pick up your mess?"

SHE PICKED UP HER MESS AND GOT A PIECE OF GUM
